The Carletonville, Fochville and Westonaria goldfield works some of the deepest hard-rock mines in the world on the Carbon Leader and Ventersdorp Contact Reef. Depth brings heat, high stress, seismicity and a great deal of service water underground — every one of which the Titan product range addresses.
Titan Mining supplies the full catalogue into this region from the Randfontein factory, roughly an hour's run from Carletonville, and takes on turnkey backfill contracting with its own crews and supervision.

Conditions in the Far West Rand
Deep-level backfill
Backfill is a primary regional support strategy at depth. Titan supplies bags, portable safety bags, HDPE piping, flushing and flocculant systems — or places the fill end to end as a contract.
Wet workings
High water make and fissure water are routine at these depths. Mud accumulators, water weir eliminators and self-cleaning sumps keep water moving, protect pump impellors and cut hand cleaning in bad ground.
Seismic ground
Yielding temporary support matters where ground moves. The Badger Plus offers 100 mm of yield, and safety nets suspended against the hangingwall off roof-bolt support and jacks catch loose material over travelling ways.

Carletonville and Fochville are within easy reach of the Randfontein factory. Delivery is arranged with each order, and bulk backfill bag orders are scheduled against the mine's placement programme.
