Every product in the Titan Mining catalogue is manufactured at our Randfontein factory and supplied to gold, platinum and other hard-rock operations throughout South Africa. Backfill contracting and site support are arranged per project from the same base.
Conditions differ from one belt to the next — deep-level Carbon Leader stopes are not the UG2 — so the pages below set out which parts of the range suit each region and how delivery works. Everything is priced on application and can be made to a mine's own support standards and panel dimensions.
West Rand
Witwatersrand gold reefs

Titan Mining's factory and workshop are at 14 Bussing Road, Aureus, Randfontein — inside the West Rand itself. Backfill bags, safety nets, tie-down straps and prop components are manufactured here, which makes this the shortest delivery run and the quickest turnaround we offer on repairs, re-work and replacement stock.

Carbon Leader and Ventersdorp Contact Reef

The Carletonville, Fochville and Westonaria goldfield works some of the deepest hard-rock mines in the world on the Carbon Leader and Ventersdorp Contact Reef. Depth brings heat, high stress, seismicity and a great deal of service water underground — every one of which the Titan product range addresses.

Rustenburg, Brits, Marikana and Northam mine the Merensky Reef and UG2 of the Bushveld Complex. Conditions differ from the gold belt — shallower, wider, more mechanised in places — but the underlying problems are the same: keeping people out from under loose ground, keeping footwalls and travelling ways clear, and keeping water and fines away from the pumps.

The Welkom, Virginia and Odendaalsrus goldfields run deep, mature narrow-reef operations where backfill placement, water handling and the rehabilitation of older excavations dominate day-to-day underground work.
