Bushveld Complex — Merensky Reef and UG2
Rustenburg, Brits, Marikana and Northam mine the Merensky Reef and UG2 of the Bushveld Complex. Conditions differ from the gold belt — shallower, wider, more mechanised in places — but the underlying problems are the same: keeping people out from under loose ground, keeping footwalls and travelling ways clear, and keeping water and fines away from the pumps.
Titan Mining supplies its full range into the platinum belt. Products are made to size in Randfontein, so panel dimensions, net sizes and prop lengths are matched to the mine's own support standards rather than sold off a fixed list.

UG2 hangingwall control
Mine safety nets are suspended against the hangingwall on roof-bolt support and temporary roof-support jacks, then tensioned, so fall-of-ground material is caught before it reaches a travelling way.
Spillage and access
Spillage mats control box-front spillage and adjustable stairways give safe, self-levelling access across changing gradients between levels.
Water and fines
Self-cleaning sumps and eliminators protect pump impellors and reduce the manual sump cleaning that puts people into poor ground.
